愛の挨拶
愛の挨拶(あいのあいさつ、"Salut d'amour"("Liebesgruss"))作品12 はイギリスの作曲家エドワード・エルガー|エルガーの作品である。エルガーが1888年にキャロライン・アリス・ロバーツとの婚約記念に贈った楽曲。タイトルは当初ドイツ語を得意としていたアリスのために"Liebesgruss"（「愛の挨拶」）と名付けられたが、出版に際し出版社からフランス語に変更を求められ "Salut d'amour" としたものである。楽譜の売れ行きは好調だったものの、エルガーには数ポンドの収入しかもたらさなかった。なおアリスはもともとエルガーのピアノの生徒であった。8歳年長であり宗教の違いや身分の差（当時）からアリスの親族は二人の仲を認めなかったため、反対を押し切っての結婚であった。こんにち邦人演奏家、とりわけ女流演奏家のレパートリーとしてもっとも人気の高い小品のひとつである。

エルガーの原曲はピアノ独奏用、ピアノとヴァイオリン用などいくつかの版がある。ホ長調で4分の2拍子。全体的に演奏は平易であるが、それゆえに発表時から人気が高く単純な旋律の中に優美さがあふれている。弦楽器をはじめ、小編成の管弦楽など各種の編曲がなされ、エルガーの作品の中ではもっとも有名なものに入る。日本ではドイツ音楽が幅を利かせているのにもかかわらず、優美な曲想...
