古楽
古楽（こがく, early music, Alte Musik）は英語で''"early music"''と呼ばれる音楽ジャンル（「古楽」「初期音楽」「early music」の違いについては、初期音楽の項目を参考）。日本語の「古楽」は、中世西洋音楽|中世、ルネサンス音楽|ルネサンス期、およびバロック音楽|バロック期の西洋音楽|ヨーロッパの音楽を総称したもの。バロック音楽|バロック期のヴィヴァルディやバッハの作品ようにクラシック音楽として広く認知されているものもあれば、中世西洋音楽|中世の吟遊詩人音楽、グレゴリオ聖歌、ポリフォニー|多声音楽のようにクラシック音楽としての認知度の低いものもある。一般的に、作品が作曲された時代の楽器やその複製（古楽器）を用いて演奏されることが多い。まれに、古楽器を用いて演奏されるヴォルフガング・アマデウス・モーツァルト|モーツァルトやルートヴィヒ・ヴァン・ベートーヴェン|ベートーヴェンといった古典派音楽|古典派の作品も古楽として扱われることがある。
